Positions:
President:
- Motivate members through an enthusiastic attitude towards PRSSA
- Oversee all executive board positions and maintain smooth chapter functionality and development
- Keep open communications with PRSSA advisers and NYU department advisers
- Compile and send out bi-weekly newsletters
- Think of creative ways to improve chapter, make suggestions for various executive board positions
VP of Finance:
- Motivate members through an enthusiastic attitude towards PRSSA
- Collecting and submitting membership dues twice a year
- Planning an annual budget for chapter events and financial needs
- Think of creative tactics for fundraising; Works with fundraising subcommittee
- Responsible for proper documentation and record of all chapter finances
VP of Chapter Development:
- Motivate members through an enthusiastic attitude towards PRSSA
- Provide info on internship listings, PRSSA competitions, conferences, and scholarships available to members
- Coordinate chapter press releases, feature articles, advertising and brochures
- Keep record of various Regional, National, Leadership conferences with PRSSA National & NY PRSSA chapters
VP of Programming:
- Motivate members through an enthusiastic attitude towards PRSSA
- Reach out to sponsors, guest speakers, agencies for site tours
- Inform members of PRSA and National PRSSA networking and conference opportunities
- Responsible for all aspects of planning: sending calendar invites, ordering food on budget, reserving meeting space, etc.
VP of Communications:
- Motivate members through an enthusiastic attitude towards PRSSA
- Help the chapter gain exposure on campus via: campus news outlets, NYU administration, various clubs on campus
- Send chapter news to NYU outlets and PRSSA National via press release, blog submission, social media channels
- Oversee the chapter’s social media pages
Social Media Coordinator:
- Motivate members through an enthusiastic attitude towards PRSSA
- Provides content for NYU PRSSA’s Tumblr (blog), Facebook page, Twitter account, Linkedin
- Works with VP of Communications to send out important information in timely manner
- Regularly scans PRSSA.org and NYU News for relevant information to provide to chapter
